Morata was the captain of the Spanish team at the European Championship. He participated in all the matches and contributed with one goal and one assist. Reportedly, Milan is paying a transfer fee of around thirteen million euros for Morata.

The Spaniard is far from unknown in Italy. Morata played for Juventus in two periods, from 2014 to 2016 and from 2020 to 2022. Now, he will be playing a bit further south in Italy. So far, Morata has scored 35 goals in 130 Serie A matches. His return to Italy is not surprising: Morata recently mentioned that he feels happier abroad.

After Olivier Giroud's departure to America, Milan needed a new striker. The Rossoneri had been interested in Joshua Zirkzee for a long time, but the Bologna forward preferred a transfer to Manchester United.

Morata’s signing is seen as a strategic move for Milan, aimed at bolstering their attacking options with an experienced and proven striker. His familiarity with Serie A and success with Juventus make him a valuable addition to the squad. Milan fans are hopeful that his experience and leadership will fill the void left by Giroud and provide the team with the firepower needed to compete at the highest levels.

During his time at Juventus, Morata was known for his versatility, able to play both as a central striker and a supporting forward. His ability to link up play and create opportunities for his teammates will be crucial for Milan’s attacking strategy. Moreover, his experience in top European competitions adds a layer of depth and resilience to the squad.

AC Milan’s interest in Joshua Zirkzee indicates their commitment to strengthening their forward line, although they missed out on the young talent to Manchester United. Nevertheless, Morata’s arrival brings a blend of experience, skill, and a winning mentality, which is expected to significantly impact Milan’s performance in domestic and European competitions.

The club’s management expressed confidence in Morata’s ability to adapt quickly and make an immediate impact. His leadership qualities, demonstrated by his captaincy of the Spanish national team, are expected to be an asset in the dressing room, helping to integrate younger players and foster a winning culture.

With the Serie A season approaching, all eyes will be on Morata to see if he can replicate his previous success in Italy and help AC Milan achieve their ambitions. The football community will be watching closely to see how this high-profile transfer unfolds and what it means for the balance of power in Italian football.
