Two weeks ago, it was announced which managers from the Premier League were nominated for the prestigious title. They were Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton & Hove Albion FC), Unai Emery (Aston Villa), Eddie Howe (Newcastle United), Marco Silva (Fulham), and Guardiola himself. Despite his impressive debut season, Erik ten Hag did not belong to this select group.

Guardiola receiving the award doesn't come as a surprise. The Spanish manager recently became the champion of England and is still in the race to win the treble. Manchester City will be playing two more finals in the upcoming weeks, including the Champions League final against Internazionale.

The opponent in the FA Cup final is Ten Hag's Manchester United. The Manchester Derby will take place next Saturday at 4:00 PM at Wembley.
