Ajax confirms the previously mentioned agreements that have been made with Arsenal. Timber has been sold for forty million euros and could earn an extra five million euros through certain (realistic) bonuses for his former club. The center-back still had a two-year contract with Ajax.

Fifteen-time Dutch international Timber played for Ajax for nine years and played a total of 121 matches in the first team. 47 of these matches were played in the last season.

At Arsenal, Timber is considered for the right central back position and the right-back position. He must compete with players like William Saliba, Ben White, Rob Holding, and Takehiro Tomiyasu. With Arsenal, he will be playing in the Champions League next season. Timber will wear the number 12 jersey in London.
