Ousmane Dembélé has already played his last match for Barcelona. The transfer of the 26-year-old Frenchman to Paris Saint-Germain is about to be finalized, as confirmed by Barça's director, Mateu Alemany.

The technical director was asked shortly after the friendly match between Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur for the Joan Gamper Trophy (4-2) about Dembélé's future. The winger was already nowhere to be found in the practice game. 'He is already in Paris,' said Alemany, who expects the transfer to be concluded on Wednesday.

Dembélé played six seasons for the Catalans. Barcelona brought him in 2017 as a successor to Neymar, who had just left for Paris Saint-Germain after the French top club surprisingly activated the release clause in his contract. Bringing in Dembélé came with a transfer fee of 140 million euros. In Spain, despite several strong periods, the injury-prone dribbler never quite lived up to expectations. Dembélé played 185 matches for Barça and scored forty goals.

PSG is using a special clause in the forward's contract to sign Dembélé. This clause allows him to make the move for fifty million euros. A significant portion of that transfer fee, according to Spanish media, goes to the player himself and his agent Moussa Sissoko. Alemany did not disclose the percentage Barcelona will receive.
