Bosz confirms Lang's absence and provides a possible explanation for complaints

Peter Bosz confirmed during a press conference on Friday that Noa Lang will not be available for the home game against Fortuna Sittard on Saturday due to his hamstring issues. The winger had to leave the game twelve days ago during the visit to Sparta Rotterdam.

'It's more serious than we hoped, and it's worse than the last time. He won't be able to play against Fortuna,' Bosz reported about the 24-year-old forward who followed an individual training program during the international break.

This isn't the first time this season that Lang has struggled with a hamstring injury. Bosz was asked for an explanation for this physical mishap. 'We looked at the summer period; he only had a few days of vacation. That's a poor foundation, and there was nothing he could do about it. Now, he has to take a step back.'

Lang, who is also expected to miss the Champions League match against RC Lens (Tuesday) and the home game against Ajax (October 29), was replaced by Hirving Lozano against Sparta. There's a good chance that the Mexican will start on Saturday against Fortuna Sittard, although Bosz still needs to speak with the forward who has returned from international duties. 'Noa often receives the ball and initiates dribbles from there, while Lozano is more direct towards the goal,' the tactician outlined a difference between the two attackers.
