Feyenoord has Liverpool defender Nathaniel Phillips on their radar, according to The Athletic. Phillips reportedly finds the prospect of playing on the Champions League stage with Feyenoord next season very enticing.
While Phillips comes with a price tag of approximately twelve million euros, Feyenoord sees him as a direct reinforcement in their defense. Official negotiations have not yet begun, but it is expected that Feyenoord will soon make a formal offer.
It comes as no surprise that Feyenoord is showing interest as the club has been searching for a new central defender since Jacob Rasmussen returned to Fiorentina after his loan spell. Feyenoord defenders Lutsharel Geertruida and Dávid Hancko have also been increasingly linked with potential transfers.
Phillips has been with Liverpool since 2019 but has struggled to secure a regular starting position. In the past season, he only featured in two Premier League matches. He had previous loan spells at VfB Stuttgart and also spent half a year at AFC Bournemouth.
