"Bayern is a dream for every footballer. I am extremely excited about what awaits me in Munich. This is a new beginning for me, and I will continue to develop here. In the discussions with the club, it became clear to me from the beginning how much interest they had in me. Initially, I want to play a lot of matches and win as many trophies as possible," said Kim.
Director Jan-Christian Dreesen had never hidden his admiration for the Napoli player and was now finally able to welcome him alongside him. "Min-jae has developed excellently. He won the Serie A with Napoli and was voted the best defender in the league. His physical presence is impressive, and the same goes for his mentality and speed. We are delighted that he can immediately participate fully in the preparation."
At 26 years old, Kim has developed rapidly. It was only last season that he made his mark in a top league, and as a rock in defense, he played a crucial role in Napoli's league title. Due to a clause, he was allowed to leave for fifty million euros, and Bayern gladly paid that amount.
