"This feels amazing," Kovacic told City's official club channel. The former player of Dinamo Zagreb, Internazionale, and Real Madrid is thrilled with his move. "Everyone has already made me feel incredibly welcome. I'm excited to be a part of this club. I can't wait to get started because it must be something special to play for a team that has won so much."

Kovacic knows better than anyone what it's like to play against City. He is familiar with the strength of his new team. "An incredible team with amazing players. That's why I'm excited. I'll be playing with winners all around me. I've played against players like Rodrí, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva... phenomenal talents."

One of the reasons he chose to move to the Etihad Stadium is the presence of the manager. Pep Guardiola convinced Kovacic to come to Manchester. "I can learn from a great manager. He will teach me to understand the game better. I hope to become the best version of myself. His presence definitely influenced my decision."

"City is currently the best club in Europe," Kovacic emphasized once again. "When I heard they wanted me, it was a huge recognition for me as a player. Having such a big club want you, it stroked my ego. It is a great privilege to be here."
