Harry Maguire is on the verge of a transfer to West Ham United, and Erik ten Hag knows exactly who he wants as a replacement for the English international: Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old Pavard has only one year left on his contract in southern Germany and has expressed his desire to leave. According to Sky and Sport1, the management of the French international is already in negotiations with Manchester United for a contract. Bayern's asking price is reportedly around forty million euros.
Pavard, who can play as a right-back and center-back, has spent four years at Bayern. He made the move from VfB Stuttgart in 2019 and has played 162 official matches for the club, which also employs Matthijs de Ligt and Ryan Gravenberch.
Bayern had hoped to acquire Kyle Walker as their new right-back. However, all indications point towards the English international signing a new contract with Manchester City.
