Manchester United hopes to secure the loan of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea for the remainder of the season. The clubs are in talks with each other, as reported by The Athletic.

The focus is on Cucurella, who doesn't see much playing time at Chelsea. He hasn't featured in the first three league matches of this season.

Due to the absence of Shaw and Malacia, the twenty-year-old Álvaro Fernández is currently the only left-back available to Erik ten Hag. He has yet to make his debut in the first team. Last Saturday, Diogo Dalot, typically a right-back, played on the left flank for Manchester United.
