Moyes attributes celebrated Kudus a bright future at West Ham United

Mohammed Kudus was the celebrated man at West Ham United on Sunday. The Ghanaian acquisition came on in the 76th minute for Vladimir Coufal and scored the 2-2 in the last minute. Kudus is attributed a bright future by his manager David Moyes after the match.

Kudus joined this summer for a fee of more than forty million euros from Ajax but is not yet a starter at The Hammers. In the Premier League, it has so far only been five short substitute appearances, the latest of which was a great success this weekend.

Moyes explained after the match that he is in no rush with the 23-year-old forward. 'The team is getting good results, so we're bringing him along slowly for now. He will become an important player for this team in the coming years,' said the manager on the BBC. 'I am very pleased with his substitute appearance. We have sometimes brought on substitutes in recent weeks who were unable to put their stamp on the match, but Mo managed to have an impact right away.'

Kudus himself is also showing patience. 'I feel that there is still a lot more to come. The staff here is doing everything to make me feel at home and to make me a better player, they deserve the credits for that,' said the Ghanaian. 'The club already feels like a family to me. I am very happy that I have been important for the team and that I have scored my first goal.'

West Ham fans had more to celebrate on Sunday, by the way. Club icon Jarrod Bowen has extended his contract until 2030. Bowen scored the winning goal in the Conference League final against Fiorentina at the end of last season and has already netted five times in the Premier League this season.

'I am so happy with this contract,' the Brit says in a press release. 'Everyone knows what this club means to me and my family. I enjoy every minute here, and winning the Conference League in Prague was the absolute highlight for me. I want to experience many more moments like this at this club.'
