Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was honored on Wednesday at the University of Parma in his homeland Italy. There, Ancelotti received an honorary doctorate in the sciences and techniques of preventive and customized motor activities.
Ancelotti responded with delight to the prestigious appointment on his X-account: 'I am immensely honored and happy. I want to thank everyone who has made this possible. Thanks to my family members and to those who have accompanied me in my career and continue to accompany me,' wrote the Real coach.
The rector of the University of Parma then took the floor addressing Ancelotti and touching upon the coach's future. 'In 2024, a special new adventure awaits Carlo Ancelotti. For him, a dream shared by many football coaches will come true: becoming the coach of Brazil,' said the rector in his speech.
Ancelotti did not respond to the somewhat surprising words of the university official, but the former coach of teams such as Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich has been linked to the position of Brazil's national team coach for some time.
