PSG: what attack against Borussia Dortmund

As the turning point of the season approaches, Luis Enrique must make do without his disruptive element, Ousmane Dembélé. And since he often changes his offensive line, it will be a clever guess to determine today who will accompany Kylian Mbappé against Dortmund.

The most important match of PSG's season so far is coming up and no one can claim to know what attack Luis Enrique will field on Wednesday night against Borussia Dortmund.

Two things are certain, however: Ousmane Dembélé will not be there due to suspension, and Kylian Mbappé will be a starter. For the rest, it's completely unclear. Since the start of the season, the Parisian coach has been mixing things up, making it difficult to discern a clear strategy.

A small hint, however, is that Randal Kolo Muani has started all of the Champions League matches. But in what role would he be used? In the center, or on the right side, replacing Dembélé? The tactical innovations of Luis Enrique, who for example has recently shifted Mbappé to a central position, are sometimes hard to follow. Gonçalo Ramos was excellent against AS Monaco on November 24th? Since then, he has only had 6 minutes of playtime, at the end of the match against Newcastle.

Barcola has impressed. Kang-In Lee, on the other hand, has somewhat disappointed when playing as a right winger, and his technical quality seems more useful in the heart of the game, especially as PSG has often struggled with its ball exits in the Champions League this season. Marco Asensio has recently returned to the group. Initially, he had established himself as the best option as a false number 9, but he can also flourish on the right side. This leaves several options for Luis Enrique in the absence of Dembélé: Kolo Muani, Lee, Asensio, or... Barcola. The latter was the best Parisian against Nantes on Saturday, earning praise from his coach.

"For me, Bradley was superb, the most unbalancing player one-on-one, with or without the ball, he scored an exceptional goal and he played a very important match for me. Nothing surprising from Bradley. I am very happy with him," he explained in a press conference. Capable of playing on both sides, the former Lyon player should leave the left corridor to Mbappé against Dortmund. After much experimentation during the first months, Luis Enrique must now manage to field the best possible team at this crucial moment.
