PSV rewards Bakayoko with a new contract and considers Sambo's departure

With the new contract, Bakayoko is being rewarded for his development. The Belgian has been a significant force in Peter Bosz's team this season, contributing nine assists and scoring three goals. Bakayoko had already extended his contract until mid-2026 in February, and now he is receiving an additional reward.

PSV signed Bakayoko in the summer of 2019 from Anderlecht's youth academy. After progressing through various youth teams and playing for Jong PSV, the right winger made his debut in the first team under Roger Schmidt last year. So far, he has made 57 appearances for PSV.

Sambo

Shurandy Sambo may leave PSV in the winter. The right-back was loaned to Sparta Rotterdam last season and left a good impression there but is currently getting little playing time with PSV. PSV is considering letting the defender go because his contract expires next summer. This way, the club can still get something in return for Sambo.
