The transfer of N'Golo Kanté to Al-Ittihad has been finalized on Tuesday evening, according to transfer journalist Gianluca di Marzio. It now seems to be just a matter of waiting for the official confirmation from the player and the club.
On Tuesday, a number of representatives from Saudi clubs are said to have traveled to London to make an offer to Kanté. Various media outlets report that the Frenchman could earn €100 million per year in the Middle East.
Additionally, he would become a teammate of Karim Benzema, the striker he knows from the French national team. Kanté is said to have accepted the contract and put pen to paper.
However, according to Di Marzio, Kanté's contract seems to be structured differently. He is set to earn €100 million but spread over €50 million per season. This amounts to a quarter of the €200 million that Benzema receives at Al-Ittihad. Kanté will also sign for two seasons, whereas the striker will remain with the club until 2026.
